A comprehensive five-day course that gives delegates the skills and confidence to deliver basic hazardous materials training to crews.
It is aimed at instructors who will share what they learn with first responders, so that those responders can deal with common hazardous materials incidents until a fully trained Hazardous Materials Advisor arrives.
The course focuses on commonly encountered hazards such as acetylene, asbestos, corrosives and more. It outlines each stage of the Initial Operational Response (IOR), from Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) selection to safe decontamination.
